 Time flies doesn’t it? I mean seriously, everything has just gone by so quickly. I still remember the first day that I moved to the US in 6th grade and went for my first day in middle school. If you were to tell me back then that I would be the person I am today well, I would not believe it. Senior year has been somewhat of a last ride for me and I think that for a lot of others it’s about the same. It’s the last chance to make our mark, and while most have already done so, it feels special to know that next year, all this will be but a lasting memory. But all these nostalgic things aside, I’m glad that things have turned out the way they have. I’m loving the experience of being at the end of high school and behind all the stress(SAT). And having the chance to almost unwind and take it easy seems like a luxury that students normally don’t have. It’s a great feeling to know your hard work has paid off and that you can take a rest.   People’s destiny is defined, not by what has been given to them, but how they choose to use it. Or is it? When the topic of destiny is discussed, it is hard to come to a consensus as to what it really means to make your future. People have said that every decision made changes the course of life. However, that doesn’t necessarily apply. In Albert Camus’ “The Stranger” and the novel “Oedipus Rex”, the authors compare opposite situations of destiny to show that motivation determines the choices they make, but ultimately destiny rules their motivation useless.             In the Stranger, Mersault is a very eccentric with an unusual lifestyle. He is an outcast of sorts because of his lack of motivation and belief in the world.
